Joelle Leandre's large ensemble work Can You Hear Me? is an exercise in the 21st century understanding of musical form. It is one of those pieces that is difficult to describe - you just have to hear it for yourself... if you can? Christopher Moklebust

looks like we've got ourselves a bass-off! a dueling duet of double bass, a sweet improvised offering displaying the obsession with limitless possibilities espoused by these miraculous musicians! Steven Smith
Marvelous experimental music from this Tel Aviv musician that fuses outré noise with almost folk-like arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 13, 2022

I really appreciate that with such a large group of musicians the overall sound and experience of listening is really spacious, never cluttered. The lovely recording helps that a lot, and of course the compositional aspects that make it breathe are superb- it gets more and more fun as I listen again and again. Jasper Skydecker
